Bilateral relations
Canada and Guinea established diplomatic relations in March 1962. Canada's bilateral relations with Guinea are based on a long tradition of cooperation in the mining sector.
The Embassy of Canada to Senegal, in Dakar ensures the representation of Canada in Guinea. Guinea has been represented in Canada by an since 1980 and is also represented by Honorary Consuls in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.
Trade relations
Canada has well-defined commercial relations with Guinea. In 2022, Canadian exports to Guinea accounted for $29.8 million, while imports to Canada reached $69.7 million. Major Canadian merchandise exports to Guinea were motor vehicles and vehicle parts, consumer goods, and industrial machinery and parts. Guinea's main imports were minerals and non-metallic minerals, consumer goods, and basic and industrial chemicals.
As of March 30, 2022, there were 1,700 Guinean students in Canada.

Development and humanitarian assistance
抖淫视频 (GAC) contributes to Guinea's development through its partnership programs with Canadian, international and multilateral organizations. In 2021-2022, Canada's international assistance to Guinea amounted to $22.2 million.
The Volunteer Cooperation Program (2020-2027) provides for the deployment of volunteers in Guinea through its partnerships with UPA Développement international, the Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation and Carrefour International, to support professional agricultural organizations, partners in the education sector and local civil society organizations active in the areas of women's rights and economic empowerment, among others.
Major multilateral partners are UNICEF and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
In 2022-2023, through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), the Embassy of Canada in Senegal funded three local projects aimed at promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, including the strengthening of their economic capacities and the fight against gender-based violence.
