Biography
Christopher Duggan (BA Hons [International Development Studies and Earth Sciences], Dalhousie University, 1999; MA [Public Policy and Administration—International Stream], Carleton University, 2002) joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 2002. He has been director of the Middle East, Africa and Climate Change Division at the Privy Council Office and director in the Security and Defence Relations Division at ¶¶ÒùÊÓƵ, among other positions in foreign policy and trade. Overseas, he has served in Romania, Jamaica and Nigeria, and he was deputy director of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine from 2019 to 2021. Most recently, he was a director general at the Department of National Defence.
