Bilateral relations
The Embassy of Canada to Turkey, in Ankara, is accredited to Turkmenistan, while the Turkmenistan Embassy in Washington, D.C. is accredited to Canada.
Trade relations
Canada's commercial interests in Turkmenistan are very limited. Canadian merchandise exports in 2019 were $3.1 million, and were mostly in nuclear and electric machinery, and oil and natural resources. Imports from Turkmenistan in 2019 were $483,744, primarily in textile products and base metals. However, a number of Canadian oil & gas companies have businesses in or with Turkmenistan.

While Canada does not directly provide bilateral assistance to Turkmenistan, the country does benefit from 抖淫视频 contributions to multilateral organizations.
Operations
Canada and Turkmenistan cooperate on issues of mutual concern. Turkmenistan is the only country in Central Asia that signed the Ottawa Convention on anti-personnel mines, although Tajikistan subsequently acceded to the treaty after it came into force.

To develop effective responses to today’s most pressing global challenges, Canada and Turkmenistan work closely in multilateral fora, such as:
