Canada and Denmark are members of the Canada–European Union (EU) Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) which provisionally entered into force on September 21, 2017. Two-way merchandise trade between Canada and Denmark was almost $1.8 billion in 2021, up over 31.8% as compared to 2016 - the last full year before the implementation of CETA.

In 2021, Canada exported slightly over $299.4 million in merchandise to Denmark and imported almost $1.5 billion worth of merchandise.
In Canada, 1,692 jobs were directly or indirectly supported by merchandise exports to Denmark in 2020, 546 of which were occupied by Canadian women.
