2. Trade and Sustainable development – trade and gender, corporate social responsibility (CSR) / responsible business conduct (RBC)
- Update on the implementation of the work plan for the CETA Trade and Gender recommendation and planning ahead
- Update on CSR/RBC developments on both sides
3. Dedicated session on trade and environment and trade and climate action
- Priorities for cooperation and overview of activities, including under the Trade, climate and Paris recommendation:
- EU-Canada clean tech activities and Summit.
- Update on respective developments on trade and environment and trade and climate, including on:
- Carbon pricing and border carbon adjustments, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM); and
- Methodology for assessing trade impacts on biodiversity.
Thursday, February 10th
4. Dedicated session on trade and labour
- Update on approaches to tackling forced labour, notably in global supply chains.
- Exchange of information on unilateral tariff preference schemes.
- Update on the possible ratification of ILO C190 (Violence and Harassment Convention) and other ILO Conventions.
5. Trade and Indigenous peoples
- Discussion between the Parties on available tools and platforms
6. TSD Early review
- Report by the EU on their study into TSD early review.
- Discussion on next steps for the Trade and Sustainable Development early review.
7. Discussion on Work Plan for 2022 and next steps moving forward
8. Meeting review with Domestic Advisory Groups (DAGs) representatives
- Debrief by the Parties from the Trade and Sustainable Development Committee discussions
- Exchange of views between the DAGs chairs and the Parties
