Canada has imposed sanctions under the UNA and the SEMA in relation to the following countries:

- Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Guatemala
- Haiti
- Iran
- Iraq
- Lebanon
- Libya
- Moldova
- Myanmar
- Nicaragua
- Russia
- Somalia
- South Sudan
- Sri Lanka
- Sudan
- Syria
- Ukraine (linked to Russia’s ongoing violations of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity)
- Venezuela
- Yemen
- Zimbabwe
Canada has imposed sanctions under the JVCFOA against certain individuals, independent of state-related sanctions:
- Canadian sanctions related to the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act
Canada has imposed sanctions in relation to the following issues:
- Terrorism
- Extremist Settler Violence in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem (occupied Palestinian territories/oPt)
In addition to sanctions imposed under the UNA, the SEMA, and the JVCFOA, Canada has imposed measures against individuals under the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act.
Repealed sanctions
Several sanctions regimes previously imposed by Canada are now repealed.
