Public service delivery is essential in ensuring progress toward sustainable development. Inequality, lack of transparency and corruption lead to poor service delivery.

This in turn means that groups or individuals may lack access to quality services like water and sanitation, education, health care and infrastructure.

Service delivery in the education sector

In Burkina Faso, Canada supports the Ministry of National Education and Literacy to improve the accessibility and quality of education for young people.

This is achieved by more effectively controlling management practices in order to increase the service delivery in the education system. The project also includes building schools and classrooms, teacher training, and supporting the development of primary and post-primary education programs.
